Dr. Marc Hannaford (GSAS '19) Receives SMT Emerging Scholar Award at AMS/SMT

Dr. Marc Hannaford received the SMT Emerging Scholar Award for his article "Fugitive music theory and George Russell's theory of tonal gravity."

At the joint meeting of the American Musicological Society and the Society for Music Theory in Denver, Mark Hannaford (GSAS '19, Music Theory) received the SMT Emerging Scholar Award for his article, "Fugitive music theory and George Russell's theory of tonal gravity" (Theory and Practice).

Dr. Hannaford is currently Assistant Professor of Music at the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre and Dance.
