Fritz Reiner Professor Emeritus Fred Lerdahl Releases "Inner Life"

Fritz Reiner Professor Emeritus Fred Lerdahl has just released "Inner Life," a cycle of three pieces for two pianos, composed between 2020 and 2022. The work was written for and dedicated to the duo Quattro Mani, comprised of pianists Steven Beck and Susan Grace. Professor Lerdahl refers to the composition as his "pandemic piece". Throughout the 50-minute cycle, the music moves comfortably between quiet moodiness and daring virtuosic outbursts.
