The Department warmly congratulates Hannah Kendall, who successfully defended her DMA dissertation in Music Composition, titled "Cutting Through and Resisting the Plantation Machine in Elaine Mitchener's SWEET TOOTH and the musical work shouting forever into the receiver" on March 26, 2024. Hannah's dissertation was advised by Professor George Lewis, and her committee included Professors Marcos Balter, Georg Haas, Elaine Mitchener, and Harald Kisiedu (Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences' Institute of Music).
