David Newtown

David Newtown (CC '18, CJS '23) is the Administrative Assistant for the Department of Music. He is an avid cellist and singer and gigs around the city whenever he can. He has recently performed English madrigals with Columbia University's Collegium Musicum and the Ravel Piano Trio with Nelson Ojeda Valdés and Kelsey Philbrick. Upcoming performances in 2026 include a re-imagining of Couperin's "Leçons de ténèbres" and Messiaen's Quartet for the End of Time.
