Columbia Composers

Columbia Composers is a student-run organisation dedicated to supporting the creation and performance of new work by graduate composers in Columbia University’s Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) programme. Each year we present three to four concerts in venues across New York City, welcoming both student and public audiences and expanding the visibility of our composers – individually and collectively.

We collaborate with leading ensembles and artists, including the International Contemporary Ensemble, JACK Quartet, Talea Ensemble, Wet Ink Ensemble, Yarn/Wire, and many freelance musicians from across the city.

Our work is made possible through the generous support of the Alice M. Ditson and Fritz Reiner Funds.
