Cindy Sang is a first-year PhD student in historical musicology at Columbia University. Her primary research centers on music, race, and transnationalism in Central and Eastern Europe. She holds her B.M. in piano performance and musicology, with Highest Honors, from the University of Michigan.
Also an avid pianist, Cindy received the Young Musician's Award from the Toledo Symphony Orchestra, among other honors. At Columbia, she is excited to explore opportunities to bridge her interests in historical research, music performance, and Polish studies.
