Mirna Lekic
Pianist Mirna Lekić is active as a recitalist, chamber musician, and educator. She performs a wide range of repertoire that reflects her interests in intercultural music, historical performance practice, and contemporary works. Recent publications include two critically acclaimed recordings: Masks, a debut solo album, and Eastern Currents, a disc of contemporary chamber music.
Mirna began music studies in her native Sarajevo and is an alumna of the Eastman School of Music, the Mannes College of Music, and the CUNY Graduate Center, where she earned a doctorate with a dissertation focusing on the music of Claude Debussy. She serves as an Associate Professor of Music at Queensborough Community College, CUNY, and is on the piano pedagogy faculty at Mannes School of Music.
