Alexa Torres, a trailblazing Latinx violinist and the first woman and violinist to graduate from the University of North Texas Jazz Strings program, released her debut album "In Situ" on June 14th. Breaking new ground in improvised strings, the album has been described by All About Jazz as "infectious from the get-go" with a blend of bebop, contemporary, and Latin jazz influences. It has received excellent reviews for its innovative approach and has also been highlighted in the July/August edition of Strings Magazine.

Featuring Guillermo López on bass, Samuel Bolduc on drums, and Mario Wellmann on guitar.
