Zosha Di Castri's Patina for solo violin will be performed by violinist Emmanuel Vukovich on Monday, June 3, from 5:30-6:30pm at Barnard Movement Lab alongside choreography by Storyboard P and CeSee. The program will also feature Bartok's Violin Sonata and excerpts of Di Castri's Tachitipo.
Inspired by the legacy of Béla Bartók, RESILIENCE is a multidisciplinary collaboration between Emmanuel Vukovich and Central South American Flex Prodigy Storyboard P, featuring Mexican American Hip Hop dancer CeSee and artistic direction by celebrated American dancemaker Richard Colton.
The event will include a brief introduction of selected images and recordings from Bartók’s folk melodies archived in Columbia’s Rare Books & Manuscripts Collection.
Please RSVP here (free & open to the public, capped at 40 attendees); more information on the event here. ***Ideally the Movement Lab would like to have the list of attendees by Thursday or Friday morning at the latest since they need to register security forms for all guests.
