You are warmly invited to attend our Fall 2025 Collegium Musicum Concert on Monday, December 8th at 7pm in St. Paul's Chapel! Entitled "The English Madrigal: Passions of the Heart" our concert explores secular English madrigals from the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries including works by John Dowland, Thomas Morley, Orlando Gibbons, and Thomas Tomkins. With its emphasis on word painting and expressive lyricism, the English madrigal genre represents a cornerstone of both music and poetry in Early Modern England. We are very excited to share this repertoire with you and look forward to bringing some good music, company, and cheer to your holiday season!
