BIOGRAPHIES
Omar Abboud is a senior at the School of Engineering and Applied Science majoring in Operations Research. He studies with Eteri Andjaparidze of NYU and Mannes College The New School for Music, and was previously a student of Sophia Poroger. This past year, Omar was a recipient of the Dolan Prize at Columbia University.
Angela (Yonwoo) Kim is a senior at Columbia College majoring in Economics and Mathematics. She studied with Fudeko Takahashi at the New England Conservatory and was assistant concertmaster in the Youth Philharmonic Orchestra with Benjamin Zander. She placed first place in the state and division level and participated in the national competition of Music Teachers National Association. She organized a charity chamber concert in Seoul with her friends from Phillips Academy Andover and donated to the North Korean Human Rights Group. She is currently an active member of the MPP at Columbia.
Shaheen Malick is a Master’s student at the Institute of Human Nutrition, at Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons. He studies cello with Astrid Schween, and his previous teachers are Bonnie Hampton and Katherine Brainard.
