Biographies

Yong Murray:

Yong Murray is a senior at Columbia University, where he is pursuing a major in mathematics.  He currently studies with Alexandre Moutouzkine, a professor at the Manhattan School of Music.  Previous teachers include Choong Mo Kang and Ya-fei Chuang.  Yong has attended the Orford, Aspen, and Euro Music Festivals, as well as the International Summer Academy of the Salzburg Mozarteum.  
Most recently, Yong was awarded 4th prize at the inaugural year of the New York Piano Festival Competition.  He was a first prize winner in the 2015 Rondo Forma Competition and received an honorable mention at the 2015 Thousand Islands International Piano Competition.  In 2013, Yong was a national finalist in the high school division of the Music Teachers National Association.  Yong is the recipient of the Dolan Prize as well as the Richard and Brooke Kamin Rapaport Summer Music Performance Fellowship from Columbia University.  

 

Jordan Lee:

A native of Plano, Texas, Jordan Lee started playing the violin when she was three years old. She participated in several summer music festivals, including the Heifetz International Music Institute, the Great Wall International Music Academy in Beijing, and as a Starling Foundation Scholarship recipient at the Meadowmount School of Music under Jan Mark Sloman. In New York, Jordan teaches privately, is a member of the Songwriter’s Orchestra, and recently collaborated with rising indie pop band, MisterWives, at Terminal 5. She is a junior majoring in twentieth century US history and concentrating in computer science. Jordan is also part of this cute piano trio in the Music Performance Program and plays in the pit orchestras of various theater productions (Varsity Show, CMTS' Sweeney Todd, NOMADS' Hillaryous).
