The Heyman Center for the Humanities and the Society of Fellows in the Humanities invite graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, faculty, and PhDs in the humanities to a workshop on academic publishing led by Professor Ellie Hisama. Topics to be covered include deciding where and when to submit your work, preparing an article and book proposal for submission, responding to readers' reports, working with editors and publishers, securing permissions, and negotiating a book contract.
Ellie M. Hisama is Professor of Music at Columbia University and a former editor of three peer-reviewed journals.
