On Thursday, December 1, the compositions of Professor Zosha Di Castri (also an alumna of the DMA program in Composition) will be featured in a Composer Portrait concert at Miller Theatre.

Pianists, percussionists, and vocalists come together alongside electronics to explore the rich gamut of Di Castri’s work. The distinguished contemporary-music ensembles Yarn/Wire and Ekmeles will perform. Two première performances—including Near Mute Force for members of both ensembles—are among the evening’s repertoire.

In preparation for the concert, Columbia News published a feature article on Di Castri. Additionally, I Care If You Listen interviewed Di Castri on the program for the concert and her approach as a composer.
