The Department warmly congratulates Callum Blackmore, who successfully defended his PhD dissertation in Music (Historical Musicology), “Opera at the Dawn of Capitalism: Staging Economic Change in France and Its Colonies from the Regency to the Terror,” on April 10, 2024. Callum's dissertation was advised by Professor Julia Doe, and his committee included Professors Giuseppe Gerbino, Elaine Sisman, Caroline Weber and Rebecca Dowd Geoffroy-Schwinden (University of North Texas).
