The Department warmly congratulates Dr. David Bird, who on May 8th, 2019, successfully defended his DMA dissertation in music composition, "Mixed Media and Metaphor". Dr. Bird's dissertation was sponsored by Professor George Lewis, and his committee also included Professors Georg Friedrich Haas (chair of the committee), Brad Garton (examiner), Seth Cluett (examiner), and Jaime Oliver La Rosa (examiner).
