Dr. Emily Hansell Clark Defends Dissertation

The Department warmly congratulates Dr. Emily Hansell Clark, who successfully defended her PhD dissertation in Ethnomusicology titled "Iron gongs and singing birds: Paths of migration and acoustic assemblages of alterity in the former Dutch colonial empire" on January 24, 2020. Dr. Clark's dissertation was advised by Professor Ana María Ochoa Gautier, and her committee also included Professors Aaron Fox, Alessandra Ciucci, Barbara Titus, and Gavin Steingo.
