Dr. Galen DeGraf (Music Theory, 2018) received the Public-Facing Scholarship Award from the Society for Music Theory earlier this month. He received this award for his video "System and Symmetry: How to Compose like Arvo Pärt, Tintinnabuli Style." The award is given for publications that advance the public’s knowledge and appreciation of music theory.
