The Department warmly congratulates Dr. Mary Catherine Stoumbos, who successfully defended her PhD dissertation in Music (Ethnomusicology), titled “Student citizens: Whiteness, inequality, and social reproduction in marketized music education” on September 29, 2022. Dr. Stoumbos's dissertation was advised by Professor Aaron Fox, and her committee included Professors Chris Washburne, Kevin Fellezs, Tyler Bickford (University of Pittsburgh), and Klisala Harrison (University of Helsinki).
