Dr. Russell O'Rourke Defends Dissertation

The Department warmly congratulates Dr. Russell O'Rourke, who successfully defended his PhD dissertation in Music History titled "Representation, Emotion, and the Madrigal in Sixteenth-Century Italy" on August 12, 2020. Dr. O'Rourke's dissertation was sponsored by Professor Giuseppe Gerbino, and his committee also included Professors Walter Frisch (chair), Elaine Sisman, Kathy Eden (Eng & Comp Lit, Columbia), and Massimo Ossi (Music, Indiana University).
