The Department warmly congratulates Makulumy Alexander-Hills, who successfully defended his PhD dissertation in Music (Music Theory), “Engaging with Musical Theater Practitioners' Vernacular Musical Knowledge as Music-Theoretical Practice,” on November 16, 2023. Makulumy's dissertation was advised by Professor Benjamin Steege, and his committee included Professors Walter Frisch, Mariusz Kozak, Kevin Fellezs, and Gregory Decker (Bowling Green State University).
