Professor Julia Doe Awarded 2025 H. Colin Slim Award from American Musicological Society

Prof. Julia Doe was awarded the 2025 H. Colin Slim Award from the American Musicological Society for her essay, “Musical Sociability, Atlantic Slavery, and the Portraiture of Carmontelle,” published in the Journal of Musicology.

Prof. Julia Doe was awarded the 2025 H. Colin Slim Award from the American Musicological Society for her essay, “Musical Sociability, Atlantic Slavery, and the Portraiture of Carmontelle,” published in the Journal of Musicology. This award recognizes an “article of exceptional merit by a scholar who is past the early stages of their career.”
