Professor Ruth Opara has been awarded the 2026 Division of Humanities Faculty Recognition Award for Academic Excellence by the Columbia Office of the Executive Vice President for Arts and Sciences, Bruno Bosteels, Dean of Humanities. The award honors her work as an academic leader and her outstanding contributions throughout the past year. She will be celebrated at the upcoming Faculty Recognition Reception on April 1, 2026.
