Professor Susan Boynton has been awarded funding from the Institute for Religion, Culture, and Public Life for her collaborative project Aurality and Devotion in the Premodern World, a yearlong working group bringing together scholars from multiple disciplines and institutions to consider religious sung verse in Christianity, Judaism, and Islam. Among the group’s activities will be March 2025 themed visits to the Rare Book and Manuscript Library and the Metropolitan Museum, and two public concerts.
