The Department warmly congratulates Saad Haddad, who successfully defended his DMA dissertation in Music Composition, titled "On the Transmigration of the Arab Soul: A Case Study in Contemporary Composition" on April 4, 2023. Saad's dissertation was advised by Professor Georg Friedrich Haas, and his committee included Professors George Lewis, Zosha Di Castri, Mari Kimura (UC Irvine), and Jonathan Shannon (Hunter College).
