Stephen Lehman (DMA, Composition, 2012) has released a new album, Sélébéyone, in collaboration with French saxophonist Maciek Lasserre. The two met ten years ago when Lasserre took classes with Lehman at the School of Improvisational Music in Brooklyn. The album's name appropriately means "intersection" in Wolof, and it is very much an amalgamation of several techniques and musical heritages. For more information, see the Village Voice article here.
