The Department warmly congratulates Anya Wilkening, who successfully defended her PhD dissertation in Music (Historical Musicology), “Degrees of Separation: Intermusicality and Intertextuality in Medieval Monophonic Song,” on March 4, 2024. Anya's dissertation was advised by Professor Susan Boynton, and her committee included Professors Elaine Sisman, Alessandra Ciucci, Sarah Kay (NYU) and Stefano Milonia (Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen).
