The Department warmly congratulates Corie Rose Soumah, who successfully defended her DMA dissertation in Music Composition, titled "New Sonic Endisms: An Analysis of Sound Making Practices Through Entangled Temporalities and Decolonial Endings" on April 10, 2026. Corie Rose's dissertation was advised by Professor George Lewis and Professor Seth Cluett, and her committee included Professors Zosha Di Castri, Yvette Jackson (Harvard), and Tyshawn Sorey (UPenn).
