The Department warmly congratulates David Farrow, who successfully defended their PhD dissertation in Music (Ethnomusicology), “Ephemeral Autonomy: The Politics of Place in Illegal Art Spaces,” on May 14, 2026. David's dissertation was advised by Professor Aaron Fox, and their committee included Professors Kevin Fellezs, Seth Cluett, Catherine Fennell and Naor Ben-Yehoyada.
