The Department warmly congratulates Gabrielle Ferrari, who successfully defended her PhD dissertation in Music (Historical Musicology), “Auricular Deceptions, Supernatural Voices: Gender, Voice, and Performed Disembodiment in Music and Media,” on June 17, 2024. Gabrielle's dissertation was advised by Professor Ellie Hisama, and her committee included Professors Ben Steege, Alessandra Ciucci, Walter Frisch and Nina Eidsheim (UCLA).
