Anne Gefell, our Departmental Director of Academic Administration and Finance, passed away over Labor Day weekend at her apartment in New York City. Anne was such a part of all our lives, professional and personal, for so many years, and in so many capacities, that it is almost impossible to contemplate having lost her. With Anne’s passing we have lost not only a large part of our departmental memory and identity, but a uniquely special human being.
We will have a memorial event for Anne in the near future, and information will be posted.
