The Department warmly congratulates Dr. Vicente Hansen Atria, who successfully defended his DMA dissertation in Music Composition, titled "Contrafactual Archaeology: A Model for Inter-idiomatic Composition in Orlando Furioso" on April 29, 2022. Dr. Hansen Atria's dissertation was advised by Professor George Lewis, and his committee included Professors Georg Friedrich Haas, Zosha Di Castri, Jeff Snyder (Princeton), and Stephen Lehman (CalArts).
