The Department warmly congratulates Hicham Chami, who successfully defended his PhD dissertation in Music (Ethnomusicology), “Jebli Music Culture: Soundings from a Moroccan Periphery,” on June 3, 2024. Hicham's dissertation was advised by Professors Alessandra Ciucci and Aaron Fox, and his committee included Professors Kevin Fellezs, Philip Schuyler (University of Washington) and Khalid Amine (Abdelmalek Essaâdi University).
