Professor George Lewis has been selected as a Fellow at the Columbia Institute for Ideas and Imagination. He will be in residence at Reid Hall in Paris for Fall 2024. Last year, Professor Walter Frisch was also selected as a Fellow. The Institute, located in Reid Hall and in partnership with Columbia Global Centers | Paris, provides a space for artists and scholars of varying disciplines to collaborate with faculty, students, and each other. Dr. Lewis will work on a 15-minute work with the Grossman Ensemble using a combination of instrumental and artificial intelligence techniques.
